The Kanosuke Distillery, operated by Komasa Jyozo—a shochu producer founded in 1883—started making whisky in 2017. After a tour of the distillery, guests can enjoy a tasting at The Mellow Bar, with views of the long, sandy beach below.
Next, visit the historical Chin Jukan pottery workshop in the Miyama area, a renowned producer of Satsuma-yaki pottery.

This two-story distillery building houses three pot stills, a scenic bar, and a gift shop offering unique merchandise, making it a great place to experience Japanese whisky.
Chin Jukan
Established over 420 years ago, Chin Jukan preserves the art of Satsuma pottery-making with rare materials like Satsuma clay and a traditional climbing kiln. Admire works from 15 generations in their collection hall.

Precautions
・Participants under 19 cannot join the tour alone.
・Whisky tasting is limited to participants aged 20 and over. For participants under 19 or those who prefer non-alcoholic options, soft drinks will be provided.
・Under normal circumstances, a jumbo taxi that seats up to 8 will be used for transportation.
・We reserve the right to decline reservations if an interpreter/tour guide is unavailable or one of the tour sites is fully booked.
