Embark on a 1-day private cycling adventure in Koka, where you’ll explore the authentic world of ninjas, their culture, and the peaceful surrounding nature. 

Koka Ninja were a key part of Japan’s ninja culture, known for their stealth, intelligence gathering, and unique tactics. Located in Koka City (Shiga Prefecture), this area was historically a major ninja location, where families skilled in ninjutsu played important roles in spycraft and wartime strategy. 

The journey begins with a warm welcome from your local cycling guide at JR KOKA Station The guide, a resident of the area, is knowledgeable about cycling safety and ensures a safe experience. 

The bike used for the tour is an electric hybrid bike, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride.

The first stop is the experiential facility, Koka Ninja Village (Koka no Sato Ninjutsu Mura), where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the descendants of real ninjas, who are fluent in English and will provide an introduction to their history and the important roles ninjas played in Japanese history.

You’ll also explore a ninja "trick house," featuring traditional mechanisms designed for defense and hiding during an attack, along with a museum filled with ninja tools and weapons, offering insight into the ninja lifestyle.

Additionally, you can experience throwing shuriken, the most famous ninja weapon. There is an option to wear ninja attire, and you can even keep wearing it for the afternoon cycling.

For lunch, enjoy your preferred meal at a traditional local Japanese restaurant that has been a part of the area for years.

After lunch, cycle with your guide through the city, visiting shrines related to ninja and exploring the landscape of the village where ninja once lived. The terrain has some inclines, but with the electric bike, you can easily enjoy the ride with moderate exercise.
