・This is a bamboo-themed tour that allows you to fully experience the culture of Kyoto bamboo shoots in Oharano, Nishikyo Ward, a famous production area for Kyoto bamboo shoots.

・A bamboo shoot farmer who manages the bamboo groves will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of everything from the ecology to the cultural significance of bamboo shoots.

・Participants will get to experience harvesting using a unique hoe specific to this region, and enjoy dishes prepared with the fresh bamboo shoots they have harvested themselves (four dishes typically eaten by farmers will be served, along with drinks such as sake).

・While your bamboo shoots are simmering, you will join in a bamboo chopstick-making activity at Shop & Gallery Chikubuen (matcha and snacks included).

・During your meal, you will use the bamboo chopsticks you make, along with bamboo tableware and cups crafted by the farmer, enjoying the food amidst the scenic bamboo grove.

・You'll be guided by a team of a farmer who is passionately committed to cultivating the highest quality bamboo shoots and an interpreter guide deeply rooted in and knowledgeable about the local area.
