This tour takes you to popular spots in Iya, one of the three most unexplored regions in Japan. You can fully enjoy the hidden valley of Iya, including Ochiai Village, which preserves the original Japanese landscape, and the Iya Kazura Bridge, where you can experience the history and culture. For lunch, you can taste Iya soba (buckwheat noodles), a local cuisine.

・Iya Valley (Hinoji Valley and Statue of A Peeing Boy)

　Visit Iya Valley's Hinokji Canyon, which received two stars from the Michelin Green Guide, and Statue of A Peeing Boy.

・ Vine Bridge in Iya and Biwa Waterfall

　The bridge is said to be built by fleeing members of the Heike clan who lost in battles. A legend says that they missed then-capital Kyoto and played biwa, a string instrument, by the waterfall. 

・Samurai House of the Former Kita clan

　The largest samurai residence in Iya built about 250 years ago. Oeda area in Higashi-Iya is associated with fleeing members of the Heike clan who lost in the battle of Yashima. The Kita clan, owner of the residence, was a high lass samurai family in Iya. 

・Ochiai Village Observatory

　Visit the observatory overlooking the Ochiai village, which is designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
