① Kagoshima Xavier Memorial Cathedral: There are paintings that tell the story of St. Francis Xavier's landing in Japan, sacred remains that are part of Xavier's bones, and a tablet bearing Christian images from the Era of Forbidden Christianity. Ask believers of the Cathedral to talk about the difficulties of missionary work and the history of the Passion.

② Nishi Honganji Kagoshima Betsuin: There was severe suppression of the Ikkō sect in Kagoshima, and the temple has photo panels of 'hidden nembutsu' and the rock named 'teardrops' that convey stories of torture.  The monks of the temple tell you about the suppression history. Also, learn about Buddhism (content, origin, spread to Japan, etc.).

③ Local citizens visit three religious institutions including Terukuni Jinja Shinto Shrine on various occasions, such as New Year's Day, weddings, funerals, Bon festival and Christmas.
