● Experience the tradition of Kiku-yaki:Kiku-yaki is a traditional craft representing Kitakyushu. Through the pottery experience, you can challenge yourself to create your own original work. Under the guidance of a potter, even beginners can enjoy it without worry.
●What is Ki-kuyaki:“Kiku-yaki,” which has its roots in Ueno ware, has studied traditional green glazes over many years, and is characterized by light, thin vessels with astringent patina and fine soil. The trade name “Kiku-yaki” comes from the old Kokura place name “Buzen Kokukikugi-gun,” and the seal is derived from Kokura Castle's Mikaihishi, and it continues to this day as Oniwa-yaki, the lord of both Hosokawa and Ogasawara Domains.
