Aoshima Shrine

Located on Aoshima Island, a small island covered in subtropical plants, this shrine is accessible by a scenic path across the sea. Dedicated to the legendary couple, Yamasachihiko (aka Hoori) and Toyotama-hime, it is believed to bring blessings for marriage, safe childbirth, and safe voyages.

Udo Jingu Shrine

Descend a steep staircase overlooking the ocean to reach this unique shrine, nestled within a cave with a vermillion-lacquered main hall. Mythology tells that Toyotama-hime gave birth to her child here, making it a sacred site for prayers related to marriage and childbirth. From the plaza in front of the main hall, visitors can try their luck throwing undama clay balls at the Kameishi (turtle rock) below. Legend says that if your ball lands in the square-shaped hollow, your wish will come true!

Obi Castle Town

Flourishing as the castle town of the Ito family for nearly 280 years, Obi retains its historical charm with numerous old structures like impressive gates, atmospheric stone walls, and historical buildings.

Yoshokan

The former residence of the Ito family that ruled the Obi domain, featuring a beautiful rock garden.

Obi Castle Historical Museum

Explore exhibits showcasing armor, swords, weapons, clothing, and other historical artifacts related to the Obi domain.
