Hombo Shuzo has over a century of history in shochu production. Shortly after World War II, they ventured into whisky-making, fulfilling the dream of its dedicated craftsmen by launching the Mars Whisky brand. In 2016, they opened the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Tsunuki, Kagoshima. This distillery features displays on the history of Mars Whisky and offers a look into its how its whisky is made.
Adjacent to the distillery is Hojo, a traditional wooden house that was a Hombo family residence built in 1933. This stately one-story house offers a unique setting for whisky tasting while enjoying seasonal views of the garden.

Precautions
・Participants under 19 cannot join the tour alone.
・Whisky tasting is limited to participants aged 20 and over. For participants under 19 or those who prefer non-alcoholic options, soft drinks will be provided.
・Under normal circumstances, a jumbo taxi that seats up to 8 will be used for transportation.
・We reserve the right to decline reservations if an interpreter/tour guide is unavailable or one of the tour sites is fully booked.
