Sabae ranks first in Japan in the production of eyeglasses. Glasses can be broadly classified into two types: metal frames made of metal and celluloid frames made of plastic. Celluloid frames require 160 manufacturing processes to complete. PlusJack is one of only a few companies in Sabae that are capable of integrating the 160 manufacturing processes into a single factory.
In this hands-on experience, visitors can tour the factory and try their hand at making a pin badge using the machine used to embed the hinges of glasses into the pins. Children can also participate in this experience, which is highly recommended! Please take this opportunity to experience a factory that makes eyeglasses.
