The Island Tour Kanko Bus is a convenient sightseeing bus departing from and arriving at Tonosho Port that goes around sightseeing spots in Shodoshima in one day.

It is recommended for those who “can't decide where to start sightseeing in Shodoshima” and those who are “uneasy about driving on their own to unknown land.” It also comes with a guide, so it's safe even for those visiting Shodoshima for the first time.

【Shodoshima Daikon】(40 minutes) *Descending on September 1, 2025

The Shodoshima Daikannon has received an award as the most beautiful and gentle Kannon in the world, and first-time visitors are amazed by the beauty and size of the Daikannon statue, and it exists as a sacred place where everyone pledges to be happy. First, let's ring the “Happy Bell” once with all your heart in front of you, and there is a heart-shaped “oath stone” underneath Kannon, and place the woman's left hand and the man's right hand on the stone to make a request. From here, let's go inside the Shodoshima Daikannon. Inside Kannon, there are twelve branch shrines by the Great Buddha of Kyoto, and you can see your protective principal image. In addition, there are 14,000 Tainai Buddha donated by many people, so I am overwhelmed by the weight of everyone's wishes for happiness. When you take the elevator up to the top floor, Buddha's teeth are stored behind it. For that reason, Shodoshima Daikannon is called the Buddha Tooth Temple.

[Kankakei](Lunch by yourself) (60 minutes) One of Japan's top three valleys in Seto Inland Sea National Park. The ropeway that connects the summit to the foot of the mountain

It is popular because it is the only place in Japan where “sky, sea, and valley” can be viewed at once. The bus will take you to the summit of Mt. Kankakei, so after that, enjoy sightseeing and lunch on your own.

If you wish to use the ropeway, you can use the one-way route from the summit to the foot of the mountain (Kouuntei Station). Please return to the bus at Kouuntei station.

[24 Eyes Movie Village](60 minutes) The open set used on location when it was made into a movie in 1987 is used, and once you go inside, the world of the Showa era unfolds. At the back of the village, there is the “Misaki Branch School” that was used for photography, and the Seto Inland Sea that can be seen from there is calm and spreads all over the classroom windows.

[Tsukudani Restaurant “Ichitokuan"](20 minutes) Stop by a store selling soy sauce and tsukudani, which are specialty products of Shodoshima. It is located in “Hishio no Sato,” which is lined with soy sauce breweries and tsukudani restaurants that have continued since the Edo period. Don't forget to buy souvenirs.

[Olive Park](30 minutes) Olive fields, herb gardens, Greek windmills, and the Seto Inland Sea spreads out below, and this park has a view just like the Mediterranean Sea

It is famous for being the setting for the live-action version of “Kiki's Delivery Service.” “Miscellaneous Goods Colico,” which uses the location set from the movie as it is, is like wandering into the world of the story,

“The Book of Beginnings” is a huge book monument with a door. There are plenty of spots that will make you want to “take pictures”!
