The descendants of copper craftsmen brought from Osaka by Date Masamune still inherit their techniques and are the bearers of Sendai copper culture. In this project, copper masters (Akaganeshi) of Tazen Co., Ltd., starting with their descendant Tanaka Zen (Onakaganeshi), will accompany them throughout the process, and will also guide recent activities such as Sendai's copper culture, copperwork, and promotions overseas. You will experience making copper plates, visit copper products dedicated to the Date family (Date Masamune's tomb, Zuihoden incense burner), and enjoy Miyagi food at stores that use copper cookware and serve food using ingredients from Miyagi.
・Experience making a copper plate while receiving an explanation from a copper master (Akaganeshi), and you can take home the copper plate you made with your experience.
・As an option, it is possible to make something other than a copper plate (cup, small frying pan, milk pan), but since the experience time is 2 hours for the cup and 3 to 6 hours for the frying pan and milk pan, the meeting time and price will change.
・We will visit the large copper incense burner dedicated by Tazen Co., Ltd. at Zuihoden, the graveyard of Date Masamune, the founder of the Sendai Domain.
・Experience the food culture of Sendai (Miyagi) at a store that uses copper cookware and offers food and sake using ingredients from Miyagi.
・A bronze master will accompany and guide you throughout the tour.
・The copperwork experience is limited to 3 people.
