This is a Kagura folklore experience program where you can learn “Buzen Iwato Kagura,” which has been inherited in Usa City, Oita Prefecture, for 5 days.
On this trip, you can experience and learn kagura in a special way, which is usually performed only by the village's kagurashi.
There was a kagura dedication presentation at the local shrine on the last day, and while practicing every day for the presentation, fieldwork and trails in Oita, which is a special place of syncretization of Shinto and Buddhism, are carried out, and it is a tour where you can experience life as a “kagurashi” person who actually dances kagura. Those who complete the course by the last day will receive an official certificate of completion from Aso Kagurasha.
Through the world of kagura, you will experience the deep spirituality that has existed since ancient times in Japan more closely, and play a part in cultural transmission.
That is the tour concept for The Folklore of KAGURA.
